The annual feast of St. Antony's Shrine on the Kachchativu Island in the Jaffna Peninsula is set to take place on 27 and 28 Feb 26 on a high note. In the backdrop where the District Secretary of Jaffna has made necessary arrangements for the event, the Sri Lanka Navy is currently working in full swing to establish infrastructure and facilities for the convenience of devotees.

The Defence Attaché to the Embassy of Italy in New Delhi, with accreditation to Sri Lanka, Captain (Navy) Armando Paolo Simi called on the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda at the Navy Headquarters on 05 Feb 26.

The Indian Naval Ship (INS) GHARIAL made a port call in Colombo for operational turnarounds on 04 Feb 26. The Sri Lanka Navy welcomed the visiting ship in compliance with naval traditions.
