The Defence Attaché to the U.S. Embassy in Sri Lanka, Lieutenant Colonel Matthew Alan House called on the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kosala Warnakulasooriya at the Eastern Naval Command Headquarters on 27 Mar 26.

The ‘Balance Style – 2026’ Joint Combined Exchange Training (JCET) course, conducted jointly by the Sri Lanka Navy and the United States Army Special Forces Operational Detachment Alpha (SFOD A), was concluded on 26 Mar 26, at the Special Boat Squadron (SBS) Headquarters in Trincomalee. The certificate awarding ceremony was held under the patronage of Rear Admiral Kosala Warnakulasooriya, the Commander Eastern Naval Area.

Strengthening resilience against different forms of threats, the Sri Lanka Navy conducted a training exercise on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) emergency response at the Port of Trincomalee Harbour on 31 Mar 26.

The Sri Lanka Navy today (06 Apr 26) bade farewell to Rear Admiral Rohan Dissanayake, as he relinquished duties to which he was committed over the past 34 years in the Sri Lanka Navy.

In a proactive move to bolster emergency preparedness, the Sri Lanka Navy conducted a training exercise focused on Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) hazards. This vital training initiative took place from 04 to 13 Mar 26, centered at SLNS Kawantissa and the Hambantota International Port premises.
