Two more Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants declared open in Anuradhapura
Going by the visionary concept of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, another 2 Reverse Osmosis plants produced by the Navy’s Research and Development Unit, were declared open at the Anuradhapura Central College and in the village of ‘Track 3’ in Rajanganaya today (3).

Navy earns Rs. 2.26 billion for the Government through OBST operations in the year 2016
Having taken over the Onboard Security Team Operations (OBST) from Avant Garde Maritime Services Ltd the Sri Lanka Navy was able to earn Rs. 2.26 billion for the Government of Sri Lanka, from its operations in year 2016.

Northern Naval Command conducts another field medical clinic in Eluwathivu Island
As part of the Sri Lanka Navy’s Community Development and Social Responsibility Project, which is being conducted under the directives of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, the Northern Naval Command conducted a field health clinic at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Eluwathive on 31st December 2016.
