11th Navy to Navy Staff Talks – Indian Navy and Sri Lanka Navy today (17 October 2023) commenced at the Light House Galley, Colombo. On the sidelines of this, the head of Indian Navy delegation, Rear Admiral Nirbhay Bapna who is also the Assistant Chief of Naval Staff – Foreign Cooperation and Liaison called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera at the Navy Headquarters.

Indonesian Naval Ship ‘KRI BIMA SUCI – 945’ which arrived at the Port of Colombo on an official visit on 14th October 2023 departed the island on 15th October. The Sri Lanka Navy bade customary farewell to the BAROUE class training ship at the port of Colombo.

United States Naval Ship (USNS) BRUNSWICK which arrived at the port of Colombo on 11th October 2023, departed the island on successful completion of the formal visit today (15th October).

Indonesian Naval Ship ‘KRI BIMA SUCI – 945’ arrived at the Port of Colombo on an official visit this morning (14th October 2023). The visiting ship was welcomed by the Sri Lanka Navy in accordance with naval traditions.

The 11th edition of Galle Dialogue International Maritime Conference, organized by the Sri Lanka Navy in collaboration with the Ministry of Defence and Geopolitical Cartographer (GC), commenced on 12th October at the Jetwing Lighthouse in Galle. The inaugural ceremony of Galle Dialogue 2023 was held under the patronage of the President and Commander - in - Chief of the Armed Forces of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka, Hon. Ranil Wickremesinghe and with the esteemed presence of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Priyantha Perera, dignitaries and distinguished guests. Maritime representatives from 42 countries, along with 11 international organizations attended the conference to engage in comprehensive discussions on the challenges and opportunities in the Indian Ocean.
