The Directorate of Dental Services of Sri Lanka Navy organized a familiarization programme for the undergraduates of the Faculty of Dental Sciences, University of Sri Jayewardenepura at the Navy General Hospital (NGH), Colombo on 28^th October 2022.

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne attended a meritorious event of alms giving, organized at the Naval Detachment (ND) Nagatevanturai on 16th November 2022, to transfer merit on a group of naval war veterans who laid down their lives in Nagatevanturai and Pooneryn, Jaffna. On 11th November 1993, 114 brave sons of the Sri Lanka Navy made supreme sacrifice for the nation, in averting a terrorist attack on ND Nagatevanturai and Pooneryn camp.

Official discharge of naval personnel who are absent without leave prior 25th October 2022 will be considered, after they report to the nearest naval establishment, within the aforementioned period.

The solemn occasion of commemorating war veterans who paid the supreme sacrifice for the freedom of Motherland, at ‘Armed Forces Remembrance Day Commemoration Ceremony - 2022, was held at the Cenotaph War Memorial in the Viharamahadevi Park today (13th November 2022). The dignified ceremony, presided over by the Defence Secretary, General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd), was attended by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne.

The symbolic Kanchuka Puja and Flag Blessing ceremonies organized in view of the 72nd Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy were held under the auspices of Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne along with the attendance of the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Chandima Ulugetenne at the Ruwanwelisaya and Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura on 09th and 10th November 2022. The Buddhist Association of Sri Lanka Navy organized these events to invoke blessings on the forthcoming Anniversary of the Sri Lanka Navy, falling on 09th December.

A delegation headed by the National Hydrographer of the United Kingdom, Rear Admiral Rhett Hatcher called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Navy Headquarters on 08th November 2022.

The Katina Pinkama Ceremony of Sandahiru Seya in the sacred city of Anuradhapura was held on 03rd and 04th November 2022. The noblest annual religious ceremony held under the auspices of Defence Secretary, General Kamal Gunaratne (Retd), was also attended by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne.

The Inter-command Drill Competition came to a successful end at the main parade ground of SLNS Shiksha in Poonewa today (05th November 2022). The final round of the competition was graced by Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne as the Chief Guest.

The 32nd International Maritime Boundary Line (IMBL) meeting between the navies of India and Sri Lanka was held onboard SLNS Sayura at the Indo-Sri Lanka Maritime Boundary Line north of Kankesanthurai on 04th November 2022.

Newly appointed Director General of Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Rear Admiral Pujitha Vithana called on Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne at the Navy Headquarters 03rd November 2022.
