The Sri Lanka Navy facilitated a series of religious programmes at Nagadeepa Purana Rajamaha Viharaya on 02 and 03 Apr 25. These events honoured the late Chief Incumbent, the Most Venerable Brahmanawaththe Dhammakiththi Tissa Thera, and marked the 64th birthday of the temple’s present Chief Incumbent and Northern Province Chief Sanganayake, the Most Venerable Navadagala Padumakiththi Tissa Thera.

JMSDF & SLN unite for a cleaner coast

In a prominent display of cooperation and environmental stewardship, the Japan Maritime Self Defence Force (JMSDF) and the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) joined forces for a coastal cleanup initiative at the iconic Galle Face on 03 Apr 25.
