In celebration of International Women's Day, an awareness programme titled 'Your Happiness is with you' was heldat the Admiral Wasantha Karannagoda Auditorium, Naval and Maritime Academy in Trincomalee on 11 Mar 25. The annual feast at St. Antony's Shrine on Kachchativu Island is set to take place on 14 and 15 Mar 25. As of now, the Sri Lankan Navy has deployed its craft to transport essential supplies continuously to the island via sea routes. Additionally, preparations for the necessary infrastructure to ensure the smooth execution of the church festival are nearing completion.

The Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda embarked on a formal visit to the North Central Naval Command on 08 Mar 25. Addressing sailor under trainees he underscored the critical need for sailors to undergo comprehensive training, equipping them with knowledge, physical stamina, and mental resilience to effectively carry out their roles in the Navy. Additionally, he emphasized the responsibility of the instructors in ensuring these standards are met.

Rear Admiral Princely Liyanage (Retd) achieved a remarkable feat on 09 Mar 25 by qualifying to establish 02 Guinness World Records for continuous walking on a manual treadmill over a 24-hour period.
