A suspect with a locally made gun was apprehended during a search conducted by the Navy in coordination with Police Anti-Corruption Unit, at Gonnoruwa area in Hambanthota, on 22^nd May 2020.

The Navy apprehended a person for possession of heroin, during a coordinated operation conducted with the Police in Thewampiddi area, Mannar on 22^nd May 2020.

A person with tablets of illegal drug was apprehended by Sri Lanka Navy during a joint operation conducted with District Anti Corruption Unit, at Orrs Hill area in Trincomalee, on 22^nd May 2020.

Another thirty three (33) naval personnel infected with coronavirus and underwent treatment in hospitals, were discharged from the hospitals being tested negative to COVID-19, on 22^nd May 2020.

The Shraddha TV and Mahamevnawa Monastery, under its ‘Maubima Wenuwen Ekwemu’ charity project donated a stock of essential supplies to the Sri Lanka Navy, in support of its efforts to control the spread of new coronavirus in the country. The donation was made at the Shraddha TV channel premises today (22^nd May 2020).

The Navy managed to apprehend 02 persons for possession of crystal methamphetamine (ICE), during a coordinated search conducted with the Police in Narikuda area, Kalpitiya on 21^st May 2020.
