Navy apprehended 04 Indian fishermen and a fishing trawler belonging to them, for engaging in illegal fishing in Sri Lankan territorial waters yesterday (07th January).

Sri Lanka Navy held 04 Indian fishermen along with a fishing trawler for engaging in illegal fishing in Sri Lankan territorial waters today (07th January).

On receipt of information, a group of naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command conducted a special mission to recover 114.5kg of Kerala cannabis in the beach area of Point Pedro this morning (07th January). The suspects had fled the area leaving behind the haul of cannabis.
