Sri Lanka Navy recovered two dead bodies of fishermen and transferred them to the shore yesterday (01 December). The two fishermen went missing out at sea following the adverse weather prevailed in the island during last couple of days.

Fast Attack Craft attached to the Northern Naval Command, on routine patrol, apprehended 20 Indian fishermen along with 02 fishing trawlers for poaching in the Sri Lankan territorial waters north of Kovilan Point and Point Pedro last night (01 December).

Navy foils human smuggling attempt
On receipt of intelligence information, naval personnel attached to the Northwestern Naval Command in coordination with Arachchikattuwa Police foiled a human smuggling attempt and arrested 32 persons along with a trawler yesterday (30 November).
