Yet another phase of the Community Service Project of the Sri Lanka Navy, operated under the directives of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne came to its successful end today (2).

Commencing the proceedings of the Year 2017 on an auspicious note, Naval personnel pledged their commitment for the process of nation building being united under one flag.

As part of the Sri Lanka Navy’s Community Development and Social Responsibility Project, which is being conducted under the directives of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, the Northern Naval Command conducted a field health clinic at the St. Thomas Catholic Church, in Eluwathive on 31st December 2016.

Yet another phase of the Navy’s Community Service Project which is operated under the directives of the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne, came to its successful end today (31) with the opening of two more Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants for the community use in the village of ‘Track 5’ in Rajanganaya and at the District Hospital, Mathugama.

The Local Agents of Hyundai Glovis, Korea, one of the leading Auto Liners in the world, on behalf of their parent company extended their sincere gratitude and thanks to Commander of the Sri Lanka Navy, Vice Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne and Sri Lanka Navy for assisting in cargo operations of their Merchant Vessel, MV Glovis Phoenix at the Port of Hambantota during the recent strike of the harbour employees.

On receipt of intelligence information, the Sri Lanka Navy in coordination with the Police, apprehended 4 persons with 10 kg of Kerala Cannabis kept in their possession, at two separate locations yesterday (30).
