The International Maritime Conference, “Galle Dialogue 2015”, organized by the Sri Lanka Navy under the aegis of the Ministry of Defence, will get underway in the port city of Galle on 23rd November 2015 for the sixth consecutive year.

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Uttara, SLNS Kanchadewa and SLNS Agbo provided relief assistance to the civilians affected by the floods in Madagal and Kayts areas. They distributed food, water and other essential items to the affected residents and ferried civilians to safe places as many of the roads in Iranamadu had been inundated.

On receipt of information from the Department of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources, Sri Lanka Navy immediately dispatched a naval craft on 16th November 2015 to assist a patient onboard a fishing trawler named 'Oshani 1' which was at 65 nautical miles east of Trincomalee.
