The Navy intercepted a suspect (01) attempting to transport approximately 2,137 undersized conch shells in a dinghy during a search operation off Paramunei, Kalpitiya, on 14th January 2025.

Navy seizes more than 864kg of Tendu leaves being smuggled in Negombo lagoon

A search operation conducted by the Sri Lanka Navy in the Negombo lagoon in the dark hours of 13th January 2025 led to the seizure of more than 864kg of smuggled Tendu leaves. During this operation, the Navy also held 02 dinghies employed for this racket.
