A suspect nabbed with foreign cigarette stock

A coordinated search operation conducted by the Navy and Police resulted in the arrest of a suspect with about 3200 foreign-manufactured cigarettes, in the Udaperadeniya area of Kandy on 16 Jun 25.

The coordinated search, carried out by SLNS Shilpa and Kadugannawa Police, made way for the arrest of the suspect in possession of about 3200 foreign-manufactured cigarettes, which had been made ready for sale.

The suspect along with the stock of foreign fags was handed over to the Kadugannawa Police for onward legal action.
