Navy extends relief operations in Anuradhapura and Vavuniya aiding 380 individuals
The Navy continued its relief operations in the Anuradhapura and Vavuniya districts on 29 Nov 25, aiding 380 people affected by floods. Accordingly, the North Central Naval Command provided essential supplies and assistance to residents in Ipalogama, Padavi Parakramapura, Senapura, Medawachchiya, Settikulam, Galnewa, Thambuttegama, and Vavuniya's Omanthai area.

Navy provides relief to 1,310 flood victims in Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa and Batticaloa
In response to inclement weather, the Sri Lanka Navy has mobilized relief teams to high-risk areas across the island. 29 Nov 25, the Eastern Naval Command conducted relief operations in the Mallapachchenai of Kinniya, Kantale, Muthur Safi Nagar, Kala Oya, Gomarankadawala, Ral Palama, Gallella and Bogamuwa of Aluthgama in the Trincomalee, Polonnaruwa and Batticaloa districts. The efforts resulted in the rescue of 69 people from immediate danger and the safe relocation of 1,241 individuals, bringing the total number of people aided to 1,310.

Navy's relief teams work in full swing in flood-hit provinces
In a swift and coordinated response to the adverse weather conditions affecting the island, the Sri Lanka Navy has deployed relief teams to provide critical assistance to affected communities. The deployment, which commenced on 22 Nov 25, spans the Southern, Eastern, Northwestern, and North Central provinces. The Navy relief teams continue to conduct their operations even today.

Navy assists flood-hit communities with urgent assistance
In response to the severe weather conditions, the Navy has mobilized its relief teams to assist those affected by floods in the Thawalama and Nagoda areas of the Galle District. Since 22 Nov 25, these relief teams have been engaged in ongoing operations, utilizing small boats to safely rescue flood-affected individuals and cater to their daily necessities.

SLNS Sindurala brings ashore 04 rescued fishermen of ‘Keshan Putha I’
The Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) Colombo coordinated the rescue of 04 fishermen from the multiday fishing trawler ‘Keshan Putha I’ in distress approximately 354 nautical miles (about 655km) off the coast of Hambantota. The rescued fishermen were safely brought to the Port of Hambantota this morning (31 Oct 25) by SLNS Sindurala and subsequently rushed to Hambantota General Hospital for medical attention with the assistance of Sri Lanka Coast Guard and Police.
