A search operation conducted by the Navy in Kolombuthurei beach, Jaffna led to the recovery of 28 Water Gel Sticks - a type of commercial explosive on 17th March 2023.

The Sri Lanka Navy and Police arrested a person who was transferring 2000 foreign cigarettes to sell, during a special search operation conducted in Ja-Ela area on 17th March 2023.

A coordinated operation conducted by the Navy and the Office of Assistant Director of Fisheries (ADF) in Mullaitivu led to the apprehension of 02 persons who engaged in light-coarse fishing off Alampil, Mullaitivu in the dark hours of 16th March 2023. During the operation, the Navy also seized 02 dinghies and unauthorized fishing gear used for this illegal act.
