The Sri Lanka Navy took hold of about 126kg and 300g (wet weight) of Kerala cannabis adrift in waters, during a special operation conducted in the sea area of Delft Island, Jaffna in the wee hours of 07th December 2024.

The Navy and Police arrested an individual (1) for the unlawful possession of about 881 conch shells, during a search operation conducted in Thaleithurai area of Delft Island on 06th December 2024.

The Navy seized about 555kg (wet weight) of smuggled Tendu leaves and apprehended 03 suspects and a dinghy, during separate operations conducted in the Negombo lagoon and Handala sea area on 06th December 2024.
