Navy renders assistance to repair sluice gate of Uppalawatta Tank in Anamaduwa

The Sri Lanka Navy on 07th January 2025 rendered diving assistance to restore the operational condition of the sluice gate of Uppalawatta Tank in Anamaduwa, Puttalam.

The sluice gate had been non-functional due to a failure in its lever, prompting the District Disaster Management Coordinating Unit, Puttalam to request diving assistance from the Sri Lanka Navy for repairs.

Responding positively to the request from the Navy, a team of divers from the Northwestern Naval Command responded to the call and managed to repair the defective sluice gate after a strenuous effort.
