A search operation conducted by the Navy on 29 Jun 25 led to the seizure of a dinghy with a consignment of smuggled Kendu leaves exceeding 485kg, at the Old Pier beach area in Talaimannar.

The Sri Lanka Navy seized a significant haul of smuggled pesticide materials and seeds during operations conducted in Puttalam and Kalpitiya from 20 to 30 Jun 25. The separate operations also resulted in the seizure of 02 dinghies and a lorry.

In separate search operations conducted by the Navy from 20 to 30 Jun 25, thirty-one (31) individuals involved in various illegal fishing activities were apprehended in multiple locations in Trincomalee. The operations also made way for the seizure of 06 dinghies employed for these illegal practices.

On receipt of information by Maritime Rescue Coordination Centre (MRCC) Colombo, a coordinated Search and Rescue (SAR) operation launched by the Sri Lanka Navy led to the rescue of 04 Indian fishermen on a distressed fishing boat off the western coast of Sri Lanka on 06 Jul 25.
