Evacuations underway amidst Maho and Eluwankulam floods

The Sri Lanka Navy deployed relief teams to evacuate residents affected by severe flooding in Maho, Kurunegala and Eluwankulam, Puttalam on 28 Nov 25.

The operations were launched in response to the Galtan Tank of Maho overflowing as well as flood situation in Eluwankulam, inundating local communities. Naval personnel worked in full swing, with local support, to evacuate affected individuals to safer locations.

Meanwhile, Navy teams remain actively engaged in ongoing relief operations in those areas.
