Sri Lanka Navy evacuates critically ill woman amidst Jaffna flooding

The Sri Lanka Navy evacuated a woman suffering from a heart attack from flood-stranded Punguduthivu Island of Jaffna this morning (28 Nov 25).

Responding to an urgent request from the Velani Divisional Secretariat, a Navy medical team deployed via ambulance. The team provided immediate first aid to the patient, who was isolated due to inundated access roads, and safely transported her to Punguduthivu Hospital for medical attention.
