Sri Lanka Navy mobilizes for ongoing disaster relief following adverse weather

The Sri Lanka Navy is carrying out ongoing disaster relief for communities impacted by heavy rains and severe weather, as of 29 Nov 25.

Accordingly, Navy relief teams have been conducting relief operations in Kala Oya, Wariyapola, Kobeigane, Mallawil Nachchikuda, Gallella Polonnaruwa, Maho Kurunegala, Ariyaggama Chilaw, Kotadeniyawa Divulapitiya, Halloluwa Kandy, Mahamedagama Thalathuoya, Kollonnawa and Gurugalla Kegalle, for flood affected community.

These teams are engaged in rescuing and evacuating residents from flooded and landslide-prone areas, moving them to safer ground with the coordination of the Disaster Management Centre.
