During an operation conducted in the dark hours of 01 Jan 26, the Sri Lanka Navy seized 01 Indian fishing boat and apprehended 11 Indian fishermen while they were poaching in Sri Lankan waters, off Kovilan of Kareinagar, Jaffna.

In a coordinated operation, the Sri Lanka Navy and the Police Special Task Force (STF) in Mannar seized a cache (115) of commercial explosives intended for illegal fishing with a suspect (01) on 31 Dec 25.
