The Navy, with the assistance of Sri Lanka Coast Guard managed to apprehend 02 suspects with about 05kg and 500g of gold being smuggled via sea routes, during a special search operation carried out in northern seas on 28^th August 2020.

A series of coordinated search operations conducted by the Navy, Police and Police STF during the past few days had led to the apprehension of 06 suspects who were found in possession of heroin and Kerala cannabis.

The Navy apprehended 03 persons along with a dinghy, while transferring illegally harvested sea cucumber without valid licence, in the sea area about 03 nautical miles (about 05km) off Point Pedro on 13^th August 2020.
