Bus halt constructed by Navy vested upon people

A bus halt which was constructed by Sri Lanka Navy in front of the Roman Catholic Tamil School at Pier in Talaimannar with the financial assistance provided by Mr.Saku Nagendran and Mrs.Ann Nagendran of New Jersey in USA, was vested in the ownership of the people on 8^th July 2019.

Commander North Central Naval Area Rear Admiral Muditha Gamage graced the occasion as the Chief Guest. Commanding Officer of SLNS Thammanna, naval personnel, religious dignitary in the area, the principal, staff and the students of Roman Catholic Tamil School at Pier in Talaimannar were also present on this occasion.

The Navy has been a forerunner in conducting and organization of events of this nature, while assisting the promotion of the government’s reconciliation process.
