Naval personnel attached to SLNS Vijaya of the North Western Naval Command arrested 08 persons with 03 FGDs and a Theppam (local fishing craft) on the suspicion of their engagement in fishing using 03 illegal fishing nets in the general area of Uchchamunai on 17th June 2015.

Naval troops attached to SLNS Vijayaba of the Eastern Naval Command with the coordination of Nilaweli Police on information received arrested a person whilst transferring 25 sticks of gelignite weighing 3.5 kilograms in the general area of Addukkupar in Trincomalee on 16th June 2015.
