A naval ship attached to the Northern Naval Command on routine patrol arrested two persons with 92 kilograms of cannabis (Kerala Ganja), which were being transferred in an FGD, in the seas north-west of Delft on 09th April 2015.

Naval personnel attached to SLNS Lankapatuna of the Eastern Naval Command arrested 08 persons with 03 FGDs on the suspicion of their engagement in illegal fishing in the seas off Ilankanthai in Trincomalee on 05th April 2015.

Sri Lanka Navy arrested 37 Indian fishermen along with 05 Indian fishing trawlers poaching in Sri Lankan waters north of Point Pedro on 03rd April 2015.

On receipt of information, naval personnel attached to the Northern Naval Command recovered 65.5 kilograms of cannabis (Kerala Ganja) concealed under a scrub in the Senthamkulam area in Jaffna on 25th March 2015.

Sri Lanka Navy assisted the repatriation of 54 Indian fishermen released from Sri Lankan custody by providing them with safe passage onboard Sri Lanka Navy patrol craft Rathnadeepa attached to the Northern Naval Command and Sri Lanka Coast Guard vessel CG 47 on 25th March 2015.

On receipt of information, naval troops attached to SLNS Welusumana in Mandativu arrested a person with 80 kilograms of illegally harvested Sea Cucumbers while transferring onboard an FGD in the seas off Pannai in Jaffna on 24th March 2015.

Naval personnel attached to the North Central Naval Command arrested 17 persons with 3 FGDs, 17 pairs of diving fins, 17 goggles and 03 fishing nets (surukku) intended to be used in illegal fishing in the seas off Vankalai on 23rd March 2015.

On information received from the Department of Fisheries, the Sri Lanka Navy rescued a patient onboard a fishing vessel which was approximately 255 kilometers from Trincomalee on 22nd March 2015.

Naval patrol craft attached to the Northern and North Central Naval Commands arrested 54 Indian fishermen along with 10 Indian fishing boats poaching well inside Sri Lankan waters on 21st March 2015.

Naval personnel attached to Naval Deployment Batticaloa of the Eastern Naval Command with the assistance of the Fisheries Inspector (Batticaloa) arrested 06 persons with 02 FGDs engaged in illegal fishing in the general area of Punnakudah in Eraur on 19th March 2015.
