The President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit visits Naval Preschools in Trincomalee and Welisara
 

The President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne paid an observation visit at the Naval Preschool at SLNS Tissa on 4th and 5th June 2016. On the following day (06) she made a similar visit to the Naval Preschool situated at SLNS Gemunu as well. The President of NSVU was warmly welcomed by the preschool children upon her arrival.

During the visit the President of NSVU held cordial discussion with the parents of the children and had instructed the teaching staff to carefully look after the educational needs of the children. Moreover under the guidance of the President of NSVU, a tree planting programme was also organised parallel to the World Environment Day, with the participation of the children of both preschools. The staff and children handed over a special memento to the President of NSVU to mark this occasion.

Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Travis Sinniah and a host of senior and junior naval officers joined the observation visit made at the Naval Preschool of SLNS Tissa. Meanwhile the members of NSVU also attended the both occasions.
