NSVU organizes an environmental conservation programme coinciding with World Children’s Day, for preschool children
 

Initiating a concept of the President of Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), Mrs. Yamuna Wijegunaratne, an awareness programme on environmental conservation, presided over by the President of NSVU, was held at the Naval Preschool in Welisara this morning (30). Similar programmes were also executed in others preschools located at SLNS Tissa and SLNS Dakshina which are operated under NSVU.

The occasions which were attended by NSVU members, preschool children, parents and naval personnel attached to Western, Eastern and Southern Naval Commands, had been organized well in respective commands. Following the proceedings of the programmes, each preschool child was gifted with a till and coin with a view to improving their habit of saving.
