Annual concert of Gemunu Preschool held at Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium
 

The annual concert of Gemunu Preschool which is operated under the patronage of Sri Lanka Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU) was held at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium of SLNS Parakrama yesterday (05 December). This colourful event was graced by the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Sirimevan Ranasinghe, as the Chef Guest.

The event saw wide-ranging items of singing, dancing and music presented by the preschool children right after the lighting of the traditional oil lamp. The crowd gathered at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium to witness the talents of the little children were thrilled over the performances of the kids and appreciated them. Subsequently, Commander of the Navy and the President of NSVU presented gifts to the preschool children for taking part in the concert and gave away gift vouchers to the teachers and assistants of the preschool in recognition of their contributions. In appreciation Commander of the Navy’s graceful presence at the event, he was presented a special memento by the NSVU President.

The event was also attended by senior officers from the Western Naval Command, officers attached to the NSVU, preschool teachers, children and their parents. Gemunu Preschool children also presented a memento to the President of NSVU to mark this special occasion.
