NSVU organized Christmas Carol Service held on high note
The Christmas Carol Service organized by the Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), leading up to this year’s Christmas festival, was held at the Admiral Somathilake Dissanayake Auditorium of SLNS Parakrama on 21st December 2017.
The President of the NSVU, Mrs. Sandya Ranasinghe graced this colourful event as the Chief Guest. The occasion turned out to be a very flamboyant one with the singing of a bunch of children to the tunes of the Navy band. The successful conduct of the musical programme was praised by all attendees including the NSVU President. In recognition of their contributions made for the perfect execution of the programme, the singing choir, NSVU members, lady officers and women sailors were presented special prizes by Mrs. Ranasinghe.
Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Niraja Attygalle, senior naval officers, senior members of the NSVU and a large number of sailors were also present on this occasion.
