Dakshina Preschool holds annual concert on colourful note
The annual concert of the Dakshina Preschool in Galle which is operated under the patronage of the Sri Lanka Navy Seva Vanitha Unit (NSVU), organized under the guidance of honourable President of NSVU and the supervision of Commander Southern Naval Area with his spouse, was held on a colourful note at the auditorium of SLNS Nipuna in Boossa on 27th November 2018.
This colourful event was graced by the President of the NSVU, Mrs. Sandhya Ranasinghe as the Chief Guest. The Preschool children warmly received the NSVU President upon her arrival on the premises.
The proceedings of the event commenced soon after the lighting of the traditional oil lamp by the distinguished guests. Thereupon, the event saw wide-ranging items of singing, dancing and music presented by the preschool children. Subsequently, the President of NSVU presented gifts to the preschool children for taking part in the concert and gave away gift vouchers to the teachers and assistants of the preschool in recognition of their contributions. The President of the NSVU and the spouse of Commander Southern Naval Area Mrs. CKA Samaraweera were presented special mementos prepared by the preschool children.
The event was also attended by senior and junior members of the NSVU, senior/ junior officers of Southern Naval Command, officers attached to the NSVU, preschool teachers, children and their parents.
