Navy Team “B” wins championship of “Waves & Wings” Beach Handball Tournament 2024

The ‘Waves and Wings’ Beach Handball Tournament, organized by Rotaract Colombo West, took place on 07th and 08th December 2024, at Mount Lavinia Beach. The championship match featured an exciting face-off between the Navy ‘A’ and Navy ‘B’ teams, with Navy ‘B’ emerging as champions and Navy ‘A’ securing the runner-up position.

The Navy teams earned their spots in the finals through thrilling qualifying matches, as Navy ‘A’ defeated Army ‘B,’ while Navy ‘B’ triumphed over Army ‘A.’ Ultimately, in the final showdown, Navy ‘B’ outplayed Navy ‘A’ to clinch the title.

Leading Seaman KMRSS Bandara of the Navy was named the tournament's Best Player, while Leading Seaman RAS Kumara received the award for Best Goalkeeper.
