Sri Lanka Navy shines at IPSC PCC & Handgun Nationals 2025

The International Practical Shooting Confederation (IPSC) of Sri Lanka successfully conducted the Pistol Caliber Carbine (PCC) and Handgun Level III National Shooting Tournament from 18 to 22 Jun 25 at the Navy Pistol Range, Welisara. The event culminated in an awards ceremony at the Wave n’ Lake Navy Hall on 22 Jun 25, graced by the Hon. Deputy Minister of Defence, Major General Aruna Jayasekara (Retd) as the chief guest.

The tournament saw heathy competition, with 270 shooters from 16 Tri-Service, Police, and civilian shooting clubs vying for top honours. The matches were overseen by two internationally accredited Range Officers, ensuring fair and professional judging.

The Navy hit the mark in the team shooting events, striking gold with 4 top finishes in the Open Division Overall Lady (Team), locking in 4 silver medals in the Open Division Overall Men (Team), and hitting 4 silvers in the Standard Division Overall (Team). Their precision also earned 4 bronze medals in the Production Division Overall Men (Team), while they fired their way to victory with 4 golds in the PCC Iron Men (Team) event.

Adding to the Navy’s impressive haul of 36 medals, these standout individual performances stole the spotlight.
