11^th Combat Diving Course concludes on successful note in Trincomalee

The 11^th Combat Diving Course conducted by the Navy Special Boat Squadron (SBS) concluded on 24 August 2026, with 4 sailors receiving combat qualification badges and certificates at a ceremony held at the SBS Training School in Trincomalee.The event was held under the patronage of the Commanding Officer SBS.

The course, which ran from 1 June to 24 August, was designed to train naval personnel for underwater special operations and to produce qualified combat divers within the Special Boat Squadron. Twelve (12) naval personnel took part in the demanding course, of whom 4 successfully completed the required training and were awarded combat diving qualification badges and certificates.
