10th Asymmetric Warfare Course concludes at SBS Headquarters
The certificate awarding and insignia pinning ceremony of the 10th Asymmetric Warfare Course was held at the Special Boat Squadron (SBS) Headquarters in Trincomalee on 10 July 2026. The event was graced by the Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Kosala Warnakulasooriya, as the Chief Guest.
Twenty-five participants representing the People's Republic of China, India, Pakistan, and the Sri Lanka Navy attended in this 10-week course. The curriculum encompassed a wide array of both theoretical and practical activities tailored to modern asymmetric maritime operations.
The successful completion of the course further underscores the Sri Lanka Navy's steadfast commitment and capability to share its operational expertise with regional partners and ongoing efforts to strengthen regional maritime cooperation.
The event was also attended by the Defence Adviser to the High Commission of India in Colombo, Captain Anand Mukundan, naval officers and sailors from the Eastern Naval Command and the SBS Headquarters.
