Naval personnel roll up their sleeves for blood donation campaign

Demonstrating its steadfast commitment to social responsibility, the Sri Lanka Navy organized a blood donation campaign at the Eastern Naval Command Hospital on 27 June 2026.

The humanitarian initiative was organised in commemoration of the sacred Poson Full Moon Poya Day, under the supervision of the Commander Eastern Naval Area. The initiative was carried out in close coordination with the medical staff of the blood banks at the Trincomalee District Hospital and the Vavuniya General Hospital.

A large number of naval personnel attached to the Eastern Naval Command voluntarily stepped forward to donate blood, ensuring the success of this noble cause aimed at replenishing lifesaving blood reserves.
