Accommodation facilities unveiled at Welisara Naval Complex

Stepping up efforts to enhance accommodation facilities for Commanding Officers, the Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Kanchana Banagoda declared open 02 newly constructed Commanding Officer (CO) chalets at the Welisara Naval Complex on 17 Jun 26. In tandem with these developments, the Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Jagath Kumara, inaugurated a Woman Sailor Mess built at SLNS Lanka as well.

These accommodation units were brought to completion as a result of the technical expertise and manpower made possible by Navy's civil, electrical & electronics and engineering branches. Following the opening, the Navy Commander commended all naval personnel whose hard work and commitment brought the project to fruition.

The occasions were attended by officers from the Navy Headquarters, Western Naval Area and a group of naval personnel.
