Navy hands over upgraded infrastructure at Siri Seewali Maha Vidyalaya, Kalutara

The Sri Lanka Navy officially handed over newly completed infrastructure development projects at Siri Seewali Maha Vidyalaya in Hinatiyangala, Kalutara, to its students today, 2 November 2026.

The development work was carried out under the national initiative to clean, repair and develop school infrastructure, which runs alongside the broader Clean Sri Lanka national project.

As a key partner in the Clean Sri Lanka campaign, the Navy provided technical and skilled manpower for the second phase of the school infrastructure development project. This nationwide programme operates under the supervision of the Ministry of Defence, with contributions from tri - services to restore selected schools across the island.

Personnel from the Western Naval Command initiated the construction work on 15 September 2026. Naval teams constructed the school's main entrance gate and perimeter security wall, while also repairing storage lockers for student use
