Diploma certificates awarded to 40 tri-service nursing students
Diploma certificates were awarded to 40 nursing students from the Sri Lanka Army, Navy and Air Force who successfully completed the two-year Nursing Diploma Course at the Naval Nurses’ Training School, Navy General Hospital.
The ceremony was held at the auditorium of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) Hospital on 29 September 2026, with Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) of KDU, Professor Charitha L Gunasekara, as the chief guest.
The nursing students comprised 26 Navy, 8 Army and 6 Air Force personnel who successfully completed the 8th intake of the two-year Nursing Diploma Course conducted by the Naval Nurses’ Training School, affiliated with KDU.
Director Naval Training Commodore Ranjith Walgampaya, Director Naval Medical and Services (Preventive and Rehabilitative Medicine) Surgeon Commodore AH Mullegama, President of the Sri Lanka Nurses Association, Mr. MWA Keerthiratne, and a group of senior officers from the tri-forces were also present at the ceremony.
