Navy marches for recruitment awareness in Serunuwara
The Sri Lanka Navy conducted an awareness walk in Serunuwara on 10 September 2026, to promote recruitment opportunities among local youth.
The event was organised by SLNS Lankapatuna to mark its upcoming 13th anniversary on 12 September. Around 100 naval personnel attached to SLNS Lankapatuna, representing various branches, participated in the walk, which covered Serunuwara town and surrounding school areas.
The initiative, organised under the supervision of Commanding Officer SLNS Lankapatuna, Commander Sugath Fernando, aimed to inform students and young people about career paths in the Navy, highlighting the organisation's emphasis on discipline and professionalism.
