Navy personnel support Army-organised blood donation programme in Trincomalee
Sri Lanka Navy personnel from the Eastern Naval Command contributed to a blood donation programme organised by the Sri Lanka Army's 1st Battalion of Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment mark its 38th anniversary.
The programme was held on 21 August 2026 and was conducted by the Central Blood Bank of the General Hospital, Trincomalee with objective of replenishing much-needed blood stocks.
Naval personnel from SLNS Ranweli voluntarily participated in this worthy cause to donate blood. The Navy continues to support social responsibility projects, reaffirming its commitment to community health promotion.
