SLNS Sindurala set sails for ‘SLINEX – 2026’

SLNS Sindurala departed the island today, 11 September 2026, to participate in the bilateral naval exercise, ‘SLINEX – 2026’, held between the navies of Sri Lanka and India.

The annual exercise is scheduled to take place in Visakhapatnam, India, from 14 to 18 September. The exercise aims to enhance interoperability, strengthen mutual cooperation and facilitate professional knowledge exchange between the two navies.

Director Naval Operations, Commodore Athula Jayaweera, supervised the departure proceedings as SLNS Sindurala was accorded a customary naval send-off at the port of Colombo, prior her departure.
