SLNS ‘Rathnadeepa’ welcomes her new Commanding Officer
Commander Asanka Manurathna took over duties as the new Commanding Officer of the Coastal Patrol Vessel, SLNS ‘Rathnadeepa’ on 31st July 2020.
Meanwhile, the former Commanding Officer of the ship, Commander Chaminda Wijewardena officially handed over the duties to his successor at the Kankesanthurei harbour. The event was also attended by Deputy Area Commander of Northern Naval Area, Commodore Sudath Lelwala.
The proceedings of the ceremony concluded after an inspection of divisions by the new Commanding Officer.
