Navy bids farewell to Rear Admiral Kassapa Paul

Sri Lanka Navy on 03rd August 2020 bade farewell to Rear Admiral Kassapa Paul who retired from his distinguished naval service that spanned over 34 years.

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne along with the Director Generals extended best wishes to the retiring senior officer who is celebrating his 55th birthday today. Thereupon, Rear Admiral Paul was accorded a Guard of Honour in accordance with naval traditions.

As the customary event came to a close, fellow naval officers made their formal farewells to the retiring senior officer, before he was sent off in a motorcade amidst the cheers of senior and junior sailors.

Rear Admiral Kassapa Paul joined the Sri Lanka Navy as an Officer Cadet in 1986 and had rendered a praiseworthy service to the organization while holding key appointments such as; Deputy Area Commander of Western Naval Command, Deputy Director General Sri Lanka Coast Guard, Commandant Naval & Maritime Academy, Director General Administration and Commander Southern Naval Area, during his naval career.
