Navy-installed 03 Reverse Osmosis plants declared open

Bringing another community service endeavour of the Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) project to fruition, 03 more Reverse Osmosis (RO) plants were declared open for community use by Commander North Central Naval Area in Anuradhapura on 26th August 2020.

Accordingly, these 03 new facilities installed at the Vihara Bulankulama Vidyalaya in Anuradhapura, Siri Sambuddha Viharaya in Pandulagama and Nekatunuwewa Siri Sambuddha Viharaya in Seeppukulam utilizing financial provisions made available by the NSR project as well as Navy’s technological expertise and skilled manpower, will be of great value to fulfil the safe drinking water requirement of the residents in respective areas. Additionally, about 650 families in the villages of Vihara Bulankulama, Pandulagama and Seeppukulam would hereafter get easy access to their daily need of pure drinking water, by virtue of this generous gesture of the Navy.

Meanwhile, religious dignitaries of Pandulagama and Nekatunuwewa temples, Principal of Vihara Bulankulama Vidyalaya, Deputy Area Commander designate of North Central Naval Area, officers, sailors and a large number of residents from respective areas were present on these occasions.
