Navy built Reverse Osmosis System vested upon public in Ampara District

As another step of the Naval Social Responsibility (NSR) project, a Reverse Osmosis (RO) plant installed at Poolawala Maha Viharaya in Mahaoya, Ampara declared open for community use on 07th September 2020.

Accordingly, this RO system was installed utilizing funds provided by the Ministry of Health as well as Navy’s technological expertise and skilled manpower, to fulfil the drinking water requirement of residents of the area. The system is capable of providing pure drinking water for families in and around the area.

The new facility was declared open by Command Engineering Officer of Southeastern Naval Command and the occasion was attended by religious dignitaries of Poolawala Maha Viharaya, Divisional Secretary-Mahaoya, officers and sailors of the Navy and residents of the area.
