Commander of the Navy addresses course No. 14 at DSCSC

Commander of the Navy, Vice Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne today (07th December 2020) addressed the course No. 14 at Defence Services Command and Staff College (DSCSC) Sapugaskanda.

At the invitation of Commandant Defence Services Command and Staff College, Major General DAPN Dematipitiya, Commander of the Navy paid a visit to the Defence Services Command and Staff College to address the course No. 14 at DSCSC. Upon his arrival, Commander of the Navy was received by Commandant DSCSC before he was accompanied to the ‘Maroon Hall’ for formal introduction.

Addressing the course No. 14 at DSCSC, Vice Admiral Ulugetenne shed light on the ‘need of having a stronger navy for Sri Lanka’. Deputy Commandant Defence Services Command and Staff College, Brigadier UD Wijesekara, Brigadier Coordinating, Brigadier HMLD Herath, Chief Instructor (Army), Brigadier UUKLS Perera, Chief Instructor (Navy), Commodore NPW Amaradasa, Chief Instructor (Air Force), Air Commodore P Ranasinghe, academic and directing staff and officers of course No. 14 were also present on this occasion.

The Commandant Defence Services Command and Staff College has made necessary arrangement for the conduct of this address, adhering to COVID -19 preventive guidelines and procedures. Marking the significance of this occasion, mementoes were also exchanged between Commander of the Navy and Commandant Defence Services Command and Staff College.
