85’s old boys of Nalanda College provide supplies to COVID-19 Intermediate Care Centre in Boossa

The Old Boy’s Association (1985) of Nalanda College, Colombo provided essential supplies for the use of the Intermediate Care Centre for COVID-19 in Boossa, maintained by Sri Lanka Navy. The supplies were handed over to the Commander Southern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Prasanna Hewage at the Command Headquarters on 03rd June 2021.

This Intermediate Care Centre was established by the Navy on 04th May 2021 at Boossa Naval Base in support of the Government's programme to upgrade the infrastructure required for the treatment of COVID-19 infected individuals. Filled with overwhelming compassion towards this timely cause, the Old Boy’s Association (1985) of Nalanda College handed over 50 mattresses, 200 pillows and pillow cases needed for the COVID-19 contracted individuals receiving treatment at this Intermediate Care Centre.

A group of members from the Old Boy’s Association (1985) of Nalanda College, Director of Health Services Southern Province, Dr. Chandima Siritunga, Deputy Area Commander Southern Naval Area, Commodore Harindra Ekanayake and a limited group of persons were present on this occasion.
