Fourth round of staff talks between Sri Lanka Navy and Pakistan Navy concludes on successful note

The fourth round of staff talks between Sri Lanka Navy and Pakistan Navy was held at Pakistan Navy Headquarters, Islamabad in Pakistan on 07th and 08th September 2021.

Sri Lanka Navy delegation for the discussion was headed by Commander Eastern Naval Area, Rear Admiral Sanjeewa Dias and it also comprised a group of senior officers including Director Naval Operations, Commodore MHN Peiris and Director Naval Training, Commodore MSK Mahawatta. Meanwhile, the Pakistan Navy delegation was led by Deputy Chief of Naval Staff (Operations) Rear Admiral Javaid Iqbal.

The fourth edition of the dialogue mainly focused on topics such as Enhancement of Bilateral Relations, Training, Joint Exercises, Professional Exchange, Cyber Security and Research and Development.

Ahead of the commencement of staff talks between two navies, Rear Admiral Sanjeewa Dias called on Vice Chief of the Naval Staff (VCNS) Pakistan, Vice Admiral Faisal Rasul Lodhi and exchanged views on matters of mutual importance. The cordial discussion culminated with an exchange of mementoes to mark the significance of this occasion.
